About
B.E. DJ & Lighting — short for Boogie Entertainment — is a professional DJ and event lighting company founded by Joshua Newton and built around one simple idea: Be The Vibe. Every wedding and event has its own unique energy, and our goal is to capture your vibe and create an unforgettable celebration around it.
Based in Peebles, Ohio, B.E. DJ & Lighting proudly serves Cincinnati, Southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and surrounding areas, while continuing to serve our established Zanesville, Newark, and Central Ohio markets. We also travel throughout Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, and beyond for weddings and special events.
We specialize in wedding DJ services, corporate events, private parties, school dances, professional sound, event lighting, dance-floor lighting, and uplighting. From the ceremony and grand entrance to the final song of the night, we combine music, lighting, and atmosphere to create an experience that feels uniquely yours.
With over a decade of DJ and event entertainment experience, we bring creativity, professionalism, and personalized service to every celebration. Every event has a story. Let us help yours shine.
B.E. DJ & Lighting was previously known as M&F DJ Group and has also provided DJ services under the name DJ Meosky.
Crafting The Perfect Vibe
Our style is about balance — we know when to keep it cool and classy for formal moments, but our signature energy is upbeat and engaging when it’s time to get the party going. With years of experience behind the decks, Joshua’s professional mixing skills ensure that every transition is smooth, the energy flows naturally, and the dance floor stays packed all night long. We don’t just play songs — we craft a musical journey that fits the vibe of your event.
We’re proud of our ability to entertain diverse crowds and adapt to the atmosphere of any celebration. Whether it’s keeping things clean and family-friendly or providing uncut tracks for an adult crowd in the right setting, our goal is always the same: to keep guests entertained, engaged, and having the time of their lives.
Master Of Ceremonies aka MC
What is a Master of Ceremonies? Often called an MC, the role is more than just making announcements — it’s about guiding the flow of the entire event. At B.E. DJ & Lighting, your DJ is not only there to provide the music, but also to serve as your MC, keeping things on track, engaging your guests, and creating a seamless experience from start to finish.
For most clients, this is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, and we understand how important it is to get everything just right. With the experience of coordinating hundreds of events, Joshua knows how to manage transitions smoothly, keep guests engaged, and maintain an energy that encourages everyone to stay and celebrate until the very end.
To make planning easy, every client receives access to our online event planner. This tool allows you to organize details at your convenience, while scheduled video conferences give us time to walk through your timeline, discuss the flow of events, and ensure every detail is accounted for. By the time your big day arrives, you can relax and enjoy yourself as the guest of honor, knowing everything is prepared and handled.
At B.E. DJ & Lighting, the MC role isn’t just about speaking on a microphone — it’s about making sure your event runs smoothly, your guests feel connected, and your vision comes to life.
Event Lighting
Ambient Lighting That Transforms Any Event Space
Every event has its own theme, color palette, purpose, and atmosphere. At B.E. DJ & Lighting, we enhance that experience by offering not only exceptional music and dance floor lighting, but also premium event lighting solutions. Our wireless uplights allow us to transform your venue with a customized ambiance that perfectly complements your event’s overall style. During dinner or formal moments, the uplights can be set to a subtle, static color of your choice, creating an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. When it's time to celebrate, those same lights transition into a dynamic, full-room light show—delivering a stunning, immersive experience using fully wireless, programmable technology.
